Public Meetings

We promise you a warm and friendly welcome to any of our public meetings.
We make no charge and do not take up any collection.

Bible Address

Sunday evenings at 6.00

The purpose of this meeting is to present some aspect of the gospel message from the Bible.
The format varies from time to time but, generally, is as follows:

  • Hymn
  • Bible reading
  • Prayer
  • Hymn
  • Bible address by one speaker, often aided by a computer-based presentation or other visual aids
  • Hymn
  • Prayer

The whole meeting lasts about an hour. It is led by a president who also does the Bible reading and speaks the prayers on behalf of everyone present. Hymns are sung by the whole congregation. The congregation stands for hymns and prayers. We have hymn books and Bibles available for loan to visitors who need them.
The theme of the address varies widely from week to week but it is always firmly based on the Bible.

Bible Study Class

Thursday evenings at 7.45

The purpose of this meeting is to study the Bible. The usual format is very similar to that of the Sunday evening meeting except that the address is more concerned with Bible study than presentation of the gospel. This meeting finishes at about 9.00 p.m.

Young People

We believe it is vital that young people learn from the Bible about God, His Son Jesus Christ and the future Kingdom to be established on the Earth. This will help them lead a properly balanced and responsible life and give them a hope for the future. We hope that, as they grow in understanding of God's Word, they will make their own decision to follow Jesus. We know from experience that the young people find great enjoyment in the time they spend together in activities centred around Bible study.

Please consider sending your children to our Sunday School or Youth Circle. We do not make any charge for any of the normal weekly activities.

Bible Hour (Sunday School)

Sunday mornings at 9.15

Children are given Bible lessons appropriate to their age and ability. Lessons usually include some activity such as colouring or model-making that they can enjoy while it helps to reinforce the message.
Sunday School finishes at about 10.15 am.

Christadelphian Youth Circle (CYC)

Friday evenings at 7.30

Young people enjoy an age-related Bible study followed by a wide range of activities, games and sports.
CYC finishes at around 9.00 pm.

Child Protection

All Sunday School teaching staff and all CYC leaders are CRB checked to ensure their suitability to work with children and young people.

Lichfield Christadelphian Ecclesia has a Policy for Activities with Children and Young People to cover all of these activities.
